We do not create "out of the box" websites. We can create a new website for you or redesign your current website with CSS. We are dedicated to clear, simple and usable design. We don't give you a site with lots of bells and/or whistles. There are plenty of other design firms who can do a better job of toying with "next generation" technology and flashy plug-ins. We believe in providing the most simple, best solution for our clients. This rarely involves anything that makes noise, vibrates or swooshes around on your monitor.
We do not provide back-end services (build applications, database design, e-commerce or the like), but we can incorporate these services into your website project with our partners who are capable, dedicated professionals. If you need to create a user interface to access a database or if you need to sell products in an online store, we'd be more than glad to help you.
All our of our services are piecemeal. You can purchase only what you want, and get only what you need.

Main Page Construction
Included in any website project is the construction of the main page (home or index page): We create a visually appealing website from which to promote your business, while maintaining a simple user interface for your visitors. We validate the markup and make sure the page is search engine friendly. Submission to DMOZ, Google, Yahoo!, MSN/Live and Ask included.Additional Pages
Any additional pages, assuming all "copy" or body text is already complete and submitted to Houston's Websites digitally, will cost $100.00 per page. A static navigation menu is included, but any dynamic menus will cost extra. Pages that contain forms are $150.00 and up.Search Engine Optimization (For the Budget-Conscious)
Effective SEO for your website can be an expensive and daunting task. Houston's Websites can create a solution for any budget. For those with a small budget: For each page you would like optimized for search engine performance, we include the following meta tags: Title, Description, Keywords (and Keyphrases up to 15 words), and we obtain a 3-8% keyword density in the text and include links on key phrases from the optimized page (at least 2). This is the most cost-effective SEO effective plan, though perhaps not the most ideal plan. For a more effective, long-term plan, website and business owners should invest in an SEO Campaign that includes reasearch, analytics or measurement, and maintenance.
SEO Campaign
When tackling the task of making sure people locate your site from search engines, there are literally hundreds of criteria to consider. SEO Campaigns involve creating a site built on keyword-rich text, link architecture (that spiders can actually follow) and popularity. The website must be designed, written and coded in a way which will increase the likelihood of your site appearing at the top of search engine results for your targeted keyword phrases. Custom Logo or Graphic(s) Design
A logo can be developed for your site, if you do not already have one, which will be included in any website design package for free. The design graphic will be owned by Houston's Websites, and shall not be reproduced without prior written consent from Houston's Websites.
However, if you need a logo for other uses, we can create a custom logo in formats for both web and print, which will cost, minimally, $300.00. The logo or design will be yours and you may use it as you see fit.
Copy Development
We do provide some copywriting guidance and are happy to fill in the gaps, but we highly recommend working with a dedicated, professional copywriter. Writing is not the place to skimp on your budget. And when it comes to SEO, content is KING!
Any copy development for any pages of your site that will be created solely by Houston's Websites will cost $200.00 per page. However, we will re-work or enhance your copy for lesser fees. We are flexible and we know you may have (partially) developed copy. In this case, we must receive the copy digitally.
Search Engine Submission
The index page is submitted to the top five visited search engines and the webmaster guidelines set forth by Google are strictly followed. Only the index page (or home page) will be submitted to the search engines. Search engines will find the other pages in your site from your home page.
