About Houston's Websites
"Us" is mostly "me" - Tanyia Chuites
I do work with some wonderful colleagues - a loose conglomeration of independent professionals in Central and South Texas who collaborate from time to time in our various areas of expertise. And what is my background?
How can I stake the claim of being a professional website designer? I graduated from Rice University in 1996 with a BA in English/Sports Medicine. I began designing websites in 1996 at Conroe High School, my first website was created for the Sports Medicine Department, before CSS and Dreamweaver were popular.I have an art background, as I have taken art classes in high school and at Rice. I dabble in oils, pastels and charcoals at home. I also edited and wrote for my high school newspaper and yearbook. I was the editor of the yearbook my senior year.
Currently, I head marketing efforts for my employer, Albrecht & Associates, Inc. I have been managing databases, maintaining the website, and handling hosting and general IT issues since 1998. I create all our advertisements and brochures, with the help of Macromedia MX software.
With years of experience with computers and a passion for the visual arts and the written word, I find my right and left brain work in tandem creating websites. I have been creating websites for clients as a side business since 1999. If this hasn't convinced you of my website design qualifications, reserve judgement until you look at my portfolio. If you don't think we're a match, try adeptdeveloper.com.
If I am not chosen for your website design project, take a look around the site, you'll find a lot of useful information to help you succeed in finding the right website designer. Good luck!
